2025–2026 School Budget Vote Results
The district is pleased to announce the successful passage of the 2025–2026 OESJ CSD school budget in the amount of $23,826,509. The budget was approved by voters with a final tally of 187 in favor and 80 opposed.
Voters also approved the purchase of one 30-passenger school bus, one 65-passenger school bus, and associated transportation equipment. These purchases will be funded through the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund. In addition, voters approved an increase in the annual appropriation to support and maintain the Margaret Reaney Memorial Library.
In the Board of Education election, incumbents Suzanne Sammons (220 votes) and Dean Handy (192 votes) were re-elected. They will be joined by newly elected board member Mariah Decker, who received 164 votes.
