OESJ junior named to state FFA post
Kaitlyn Isaac, a Mohawk Valley FFA member and a junior at OESJ High School, has been named to a statewide
post for the New York State FFA.

For 2014-15, Isaac will be the state reporter for the 4,000-member state FFA. Isaac was among four high school seniors and two college freshmen elected to state leadership positions for the coming year at the state FFA Convention in May.

Prior to the state Convention, Isaac submitted and application and underwent a three-day interview process with a state FFA nominating committee in Syracuse.
State officers often travel to schools across the state, meet with legislators and plan events such as the state convention.

As state reporter, Isaac will be responsible for public relations for the state FFA having responsibilities relating to PR programs, the state newsletter and Facebook page and more.

This isn’t Isaac’s first state leadership opportunity with FFA. This year she served as president for District 5, which covers the area between Amsterdam and East Syracuse.
