OESJ seeks committee volunteers
The Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District is seeking community volunteers to assist with the development of a Comprehensive District Education Plan (CDEP).

Parents, employers, business leaders, higher education professionals, government representatives and others are encouraged to apply for membership on the CDEP committee. The committee is expected to meet monthly throughout the school year. Volunteers not selected for committee membership may be considered for future volunteer opportunities if they desire.

“The merger was just the first step in creating a new school district. Now, thoughtful analysis of our current programs and comprehensive planning for the future is required if we are to make systemic change in this district and improve our educational program,” OESJ Superintendent Laura Lawrence said.

Anyone interested in applying for membership on the CDEP committee should contact Elizabeth Brown, secretary to the superintendent, at (518) 568-7824. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 9.
