ABC Afternoon student’s in Mrs. Case’s have RESPECT!

On day 6, all K-2 students meet in the gymnasium to learn about good Attitude, Behavior, and Character.  During the program, one class gets randomly selected to work on a project for a week.  The problem or question is delivered in our  “Snail-Mail,” envelope. Students patiently wait for their class name to be drawn.  Mrs. Case’s class was first to create a project to teach the other K-2 students about respect.  The students came up with the heart project, “It’s hard to fix a broken heart”, that is pictured.  On one side the heart shows all of the ways we can take care of our heart by giving respect.  Some of the solutions include being kind, taking care of our things, and being safe.  The kindergarten students beamed when talking about what makes our heart “whole.”  On the reverse side of their project it showed what happens to our heart when we forget to be respectful.  They highlighted that our heart breaks and even though it can be pieced back together, it’s not the same as before.

ABC Afternoon is open to families and the community.  It starts at 11:45 on day 6. You can stay connected by joining our Facebook page.  Search OESJ ABC Afternoon and get added to our group.
