David H. Robbins Elementary Announces Gold and Silver Star Students
The David H. Robbins Elementary School has announced the names of students on the fourth quarter Gold and Silver Star lists for the 2014-2015 school year. See the list of students in its entirety here.
Students, teachers and staff at D.H. Robbins Elementary School created a “HAPPY” video to always remember their “HAPPY” school. On the last day at D.H. Robbins, the whole school joined together in the auditorium to honor their retirees and say goodbye to their wonderful school. See the video here. Mrs. Brundage's Class shared their memories of D.H. D.H. Robbins Announces June Students of the Month
The David H. Robbins Elementary School has announced the Students of the Month for March. The Students of the Month are: Ryan Achzet, Jordan Simzer, Mackenzie Barker, Caroline Littrell, Blake Bergen, and Nataley Caponera. Teachers nominated students for the Student of the Month Award based on academics and character.
This spring at D.H. Robbins elementary school students took part in working towards awards for fitness during their Physical Education classes. Forty five students achieved either the National award or the Presidential award. Read the entire story and see pictures here.
Music Concert Scheduled
The OESJ High School and DHR Elementary Music Dept. present their Spring Concert Wednesday May 13th at 6:00 PM in the high school auditorium. Featured on the program will be the DHR Elementary Choir, DHR Elementary Band, High School Band, High School Choir, Select Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and Handbell Choir. Each group will be performing a variety of musical selections. The concert is free and open to the public.

PTO Carnival Scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2015
The PTO will hold a carnival on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 5 - 7 PM at the D.H. Robbins Elementary School. See the flyer below for more information.
D.H. Robbins Elementary Begins “Commit to Be Fit” Month
D.H. Robbins Elementary School “Commit To Be Fit” Wellness Team Initiative during March which is National Nutrition month will focus on nutritious eating and daily physical activity as habits which promote good health. The primary goal is to increase our student’s knowledge about more healthful food selections and various types of physical activity which will help them set their lifelong healthy habits. Due to a lack of interest, the Active Parenting Now workshops scheduled to take place at the D.H. Robbins Elementary school are cancelled.
Pre-Kindergarten and New Kindergarten Student Registration
The OESJ Central School District announces registration for Pre-Kindergarten and new Kindergarten students. The district will begin to mail out registration packets to families that they know have Pre-K aged children during the week of March 2.
A child who turns 4 years of age prior to December 1, 2015, is eligible to enroll in Pre-K. Please contact Julie Taylor at the D.H. Robbins Elementary School, 518-568-7023, or Anna O’Connell at the OESJ Elementary/Middle School, 518-568-2014, ext. 104, to obtain a registration packet.
OESJ Holds Spelling Bee
On January 28, 2015, thirty students in grades 4-8 participated in the annual spelling bee. They were joined in the high school auditorium by all their classmates to help cheer them on. Read the entire story, including pictures, here.

Ski Club Field Trip Announced
The OESJ Ski Club will be taking a field trip to McCauley mountain on Sunday, February 9, 2015. More information and a permission slip can be found here.
Spelling Bee to be Held Wednesday, January 28, 2015
A Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in the High School Auditorium starting at 9 A.M. Representatives from grades four through eight will be competing, with all students in grades three through eight from both the D.H. Robbins Elementary School and the Oppenheim Campus in attendance. Community members are welcome to attend.
OESJ CSD to Host Active Parenting Now Workshops
In the months of February and March, Catholic Charities will be hosting a series of workshops at both the D.H. Robbins Elementary and Oppenheim Campus for parents of students aged 5 - 12. According to the flyer, "this entertaining and informative program uses video, activities and discussion to show you ways to raise responsible, cooperative children who are able to resist negative peer pressure." DHR Holds their Annual Benefit Club Fundraiser
On Friday, December 19th, students and staff at the D.H. Robbins Elementary School concluded their annual fundraiser for the Benefit Club, and presented representatives of the club with $1,126 raised by the staff and families of DHR. Read more and see pictures here.

You are invited to the DHR Elementary School Morning Program! The DHR Morning Program is a gathering of our primary classrooms on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. We learn good citizenship and practice our public speaking skills. Please join us! Parents, friends, family and community members are welcome!
