The Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville School District is pleased to announce the Top Students of the OESJ Class of 2023:
Alexander Lopez is the son of Michelle Diaz and Omar Lopez, and is Valedictorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. He has been on the High Honor Roll throughout his entire high school career. Alex plans to attend Fulton-Montgomery Community College in the fall to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
Jaslynn Leach is the daughter of Christine and Adam Leach and is Salutatorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Jaslynn is in the National Honor Society, and this year she is serving as the secretary. She has been the president of band and the vice president of the Class of 2023 throughout high school. Jaslynn plans to attend SUNY Cortland in the fall to pursue a masters degree in English Education.
Jade Dygert is the daughter of Frances Hulbert-Shaut and Bernie Shaut, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Jade has challenged herself with dual credit college courses throughout high school. She has played volleyball and softball and has been varsity captain for both sports. She is the vice president of the National Honor Society and Chief Editor of the yearbook committee. Jade plans to attend the University of Kentucky in the fall majoring in Human Health Science to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist.
Abigail Miller is the daughter of Leonard Miller Jr. and Amanda Miller, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Abigail had been on the High Honor Roll throughout her high school career. She played volleyball in 9-12th grade and has been active in the National Honor Society. Abigail plans to attend Clarkson University to pursue a degree in Environmental Science & Policy.
Anderson Eggleston is the daughter of Chad and Karin Eggleston, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Anderson has been a member of the National Honor Society throughout high school. She was an athlete playing both soccer and basketball. Anderson plans to attend Herkimer Community College in the fall to pursue a degree in Physical Education.
Ray Moore is the child of Charlyn and James Moore, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Ray has been on High Honor Roll throughout their entire high school career. They attended Area All State with band their senior year. Ray plans to attend Herkimer for two years, then transfer to Potsdam to pursue a degree in Music Education.
Natazia Vingua is the daughter of Teri and Brian Richards, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Natazia has been on the High Honor Roll and played on the girls volleyball team throughout her high school career. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. Natazia plans to attend Clarkson University to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
Carolyn Littrell is the daughter of Matt and Judy Littrell, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Carolyn is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout high school. She has participated in soccer, basketball, and softball throughout high school. She is also a New Visions Health student at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Carolyn plans to pursue degrees in Political Science and Public Health at Syracuse University in the fall.
Arielle Hughes is the daughter of Melina and David Hughes, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. Arielle attended the Career and Tech Center for Digital Multimedia and Communications for two years. She has been on the Honor Roll throughout her high school career. Arielle plans to attend Mohawk Valley Community College for two years and then transfer to SUNY Potsdam to pursue a degree in teaching.
Bella Case is the daughter of Melissa and Robert Case, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2023. She has been an active member and officer of the Mohawk Valley FFA and OESJ National Honor Society organizations. Bella plans to attend SUNY Cobleskill in the fall to pursue a degree in Veterinary Sciences, and later attain her Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine.
