OESJ Band Factory Gets AMP(ed)!

students showing certificatesDoes OESJ Band Director Dianne Mott take the time sleep at night?  That seems to be the question buzzing around our Jr./Sr. High School these days.  Good luck finding an answer to that question, too.  Dianne is always on the move creating opportunities and making connections in our community. Mrs. Mott recently established the Band Factory which is a group of talented students to assist in the logistical challenges that the school band faces…Sorting and packaging the band uniforms, making sure every band member has the right shirt for upcoming performances, even hemming band members’ dress trousers and serving as stage crew during live performances.  The Band Factory proudly does it all!  Recently, Band Factory members and the student led OESJ Band Leadership Executive Council had to meet to discuss some future business (and eat waffles).  A working breakfast, if you will.  During this student led business meeting, members of the Band Factory were awarded certificates of recognition from AMP (The Association of Musical Parents).  AMP is a group of parent volunteers who help the band to achieve the many successes they’ve had!   The Band Factory is excited and AMP(ed) to receive this recognition!  Thank you to Mrs. Mott, The Association of Musical Parents, and to Mrs. Brenda VanSchaick-Bianchi for the work you all do to for our kids and bringing the beauty of music to our school community.  Band Factory members:  Sydney Arndt, Mackenzie Arndt, Ethan Darling, Shyanne Smith, and Nicholas Smith.  OESJ Band Leadership Executive Council members:  Isabella Masi, Trinity Rathbun, and Abigail Johnson.
