Nominating petitions to seek three seats on the Board of Education are available

The Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville CSD announces that qualified residents interested in seeking a seat on the Board of Education must file a petition for nomination, which must be signed by at least 25 voters of the district.

To request a nominating packet, please contact District Clerk Stephanie Bonk  at (518) 568-7280 or email stephanie.bonk@oesj.org. Petitions must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on April 18, 2022.

Candidates must be a qualified voter of the district and must have resided in the district for at least one year prior to the election.

Three three-year terms are available for anyone interested in running for a seat on the board.  The three three-year seats, presently occupied by Neil Clark, Dean Handy and Susanne Sammons become vacant as of July 1, 2022.

The election will take place on Tuesday, May 17, from noon to 8:00 p.m. in the auditoriums at the Jr/Sr High School and the Elementary School.
