Coding taught at the elementary school

During the month of December, all students in grades K-6 completed the Hour of Code. Computer science is a very important technology skill, it teaches logic, problem solving, and creativity. It will help prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.

In January, students in grades 3-6 started a coding course. Mrs. Parry would like to announce the top student in each grade that wrote the most lines of code and completed the most levels.

  • In grade 3 Ryker Williams wrote 603 lines of code and completed 71 levels.
  • In grade 4 Brooklyn Smith wrote 1,219 lines of code and completed 57 levels.
  • In grade 5 Jayden Brown wrote 956 lines of code and completed 132 levels.
  • In grade 6 McKayl Logan-Dillenbeck wrote 1,486 lines of code and completed 150 levels.
  • Our top school coder is Liam Achzet who wrote an amazing 7,180 lines of code and completed 175 levels.

Congratulations to all the computer science whizzes!
