Class of 2022 Top 10 Announced

Margaret Christensen is the valedictorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022. She is the daughter of Svend and Tish Christensen. Maggie has been a member of the National Honor Society since the 10th grade and during her senior year, she served as the president. She is the president of the OESJ Class of 2022 and the President of the Student Council. Maggie has been a member of the Mohawk Valley FFA since 7th grade and served as the vice president during her junior and senior years. Throughout high school, she has been an athlete playing varsity soccer, varsity cross country, varsity basketball, and varsity track and field. Maggie plans to enlist in the US Army and serve as a combat medic upon graduation.

 

 

 

Emilie Peterson is the daughter of Janine Peterson and is the salutatorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville  Class of 2022. Emilie is the NHS Vice President, a member of the Student Council, and a co-founder of the Book Club.  In her free time, Emilie loves hanging out with her adorable cats and dogs.  She plans to attend Pace University this fall as a history major.

 

 

 

 

 

Katelynn Hanna is the daughter of Robert and Sandi Hanna and also raised by Nancy Hanna. Katelynn is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022. She is a member of the National Honor Society.  Katelynn plans to attend Herkimer Community College to pursue a master’s degree in nursing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Karis Montana is the daughter of Reba Trumble and Thomas Montana and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022.  She is the treasurer of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Student Council.  Karis is the treasurer of the high school band, leader of her band section as well as the leader of the color guard.  She is also a member of the OESJ Book Club.  Karis plans to attend Siena college to pursue a degree in secondary English education, followed up with a master’s degree in special education.  In her free time, Karis likes to play with her cute orange cat named Cheddar.

 

 

 

 

Josephine Brundage is the daughter of Holly and Jeremy Brundage and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022.  She has been the class treasurer for her class all four years of high school and the president of the FFA during her junior and senior years. Josie was also the FFA treasurer in 9th and 10th grade. She has been a member of the National Honor Society from 9th-12th grade. Josie is a member of the Student Council. She has played varsity golf for four years and was the JV cheerleading captain in 9th and 10th grade. Josie also participated in varsity cheerleading in 11th and 12th grade and served as a captain in 12th grade. Josie plans to attend FMCC to pursue a teaching degree.

 

 

 

 

Olivia Chromczak is the daughter of Brandy and Joseph Chromczak and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022.  Olivia has been on the Honor Roll throughout her high school career.  She has played volleyball in the 9th-12th grades.  Olivia plans to attend SUNY Cobleskill in the fall to pursue a degree in vet science.

 

 

 

 

 

Paul Rice is the son of Paul Rice Jr. and Judy Congdon and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022. He attended BOCES for Cybersecurity and Computer Technology and has earned two certificates for his work. Paul plans to enter the workforce after graduation, and pursue a college degree at a later time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jesse Walrath is the son of Jarrod and Shellie Walrath and Kimberly Jump. He is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022. Jesse has been a member of the National Honor Society.  He played soccer, baseball, and basketball in grades 9-12. Jesse plans to attend Herkimer College in the fall for music and business.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hannah Johnson is the daughter of Joseph Johnson and Tara Hill.  She is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022.  Throughout high school, Hannah has been a member of both the National Junior Honor Society as well as the National Honor Society.  She was on the cheerleading team and played varsity volleyball.  Hannah has also been a member of the Student Council.  She has worked tirelessly volunteering for many different events throughout her high school career.  Hannah plans to attend college in the fall.

 

 

Kyle Hall is the son of Teresa Quintano and Roy Hall Jr. and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2022. He was a member of the varsity basketball team during his senior year. Kyle plans to pursue a career in photography and will consider furthering his education at some point in the future.
