PAWS Hosts Successful Breakfast with Santa

Parents Advocating With Support (PAWS)  hosted a Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday December 3, at the H.C. Smith Benefit Club in Saint Johnsville.  The event was very well attended with over 275 people participating. Children and families were greeted at the door by Mrs. Case and Mrs. Poltynski, and encouraged to visit all the stations set up around the room.  There was a buffet of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, fruit, and beverages. All of these items were freshly prepared in the kitchen by OESJ staff, volunteers, and board members.    When bellies were filled,  Santa and Mrs. Claus had a special ornament for each child.  The children headed over to the next station to have their ornament personalized by two special elves,  Mrs. Getman and Mrs. Kawryga.  After that, kids floated around creating a festive atmosphere, and joined in the fun at the reindeer food table, with help from OESJ Middle School students Maggie Christensen, Brynn Fredericks, and Josie Brundage.   Artistic creations were being displayed at the coloring table where children could do their best coloring to impress Santa.  Mrs. Comstock helped  our little ones write their letters to Santa and mail them.  Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to students and families for attending. This is a wonderful tradition to kick off the holidays, and is a good start to make all of our seasons bright.
