Mrs. Case’s Kindergartners Vote!

It may be thirteen more years before the Kindergartners in Mrs. Case's class can legally vote, but that did not stop them from practicing today. After reading Duck For President by Doreen Cronin, Mrs. Case and her students discussed the voting process and its importance. After some discussion, the polls opened in the classroom.  In order to be eligible to vote today, the students had to be in Kindergarten and have Mrs. Case for a teacher. The first vote was for who the students thought would do a better job running a farm, Duck or Farmer Brown. The second vote was for who the students thought would make a better president, Clinton or Trump? Once the polls closed, it was announced that Farmer Brown and Hillary Clinton were the winners.
