Helping Hands Food Pantry- Opening at D.H.R. Building

The Upper Montgomery County Salvation Army has partnered with the OESJ school district, the Albany Regional Food Bank, Girl Scout Troop #2710, local churches, and several community volunteers to organize this much needed resource.

Location will be at the D.H.R. school building, which was provided as in kind resource by the OESJ school district. The current plan is to be open twice a month, the third Wednesday and the fourth Thursday each month. The pantry will follow the OESJ school’s weather related schedule – if there is no school on a pantry day, it will not be open.

The current goal is to be open December 21st and December 29.

A food drive has been organized by the OESJ Wellness Team to help stock the shelves.

Collection boxes have been placed in the schools as well as at local churches and businesses.

Additionally, cash donations are currently being accepted. Anyone wishing to donate or volunteer may contact Mrs. Jackie Lape at: or 568-2013  or

Mrs. Darlene Marchand-Clifford at: or 568- 3212.
