9th Grade Honors English Class Present Argument to Panel

9th Graders in Miss McAleese's Honors English class were given project guidelines in which they had to chose a side, based on textual evidence, whether or not vending machines containing unhealthy snacks and beverages should be removed from schools. Students worked in groups, completed research, chose a stance, and had to present their argument in front of a panel. The goal was to persuade the panel to make a hypothetical decision on whether or not our school should make this decision. The panel included:  Mr. Heroth, Vice Principal, Mr. Halloran, Superintendent, Neil Clark, School Board Member, Mr. Smith, Technology Teacher, Mr. Slater, Principal, and student, Kenidee Oare.
