OESJ Pre-Kindergarten Graduates

POSTED 6/27/2016

On Tuesday, June 21st at 8:30, thirty eight pre-kindergarten students graduated at Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Elementary School.  Family and friends filled the gymnasium to take part in this monumental event.  The ceremony began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Temprance Corso and Joshua Walrath.  Children delighted the audience with performances of the alphabet song, the months of the year, and the days of the week.  They even pulled a prank on the audience by counting to ten backwards – in which they turned around (backwards to the audience) and counted to ten!  Mrs. Sprouse’s class then performed “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “I’m Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee” and Mrs. Yoder’s class performed “Skinnamarinky Dinky Dink” and “Five Little Monkeys Swinging in a Tree”.  Mrs. Blair, Mrs. Cool, and Mrs. Bradt were presented with a gift of flowers to say thank you for their hard work and dedication to the pre-kindergarten classrooms.  After presentation of the diplomas, students donned star-shaped sunglasses, were announced as the Pre-K graduating class of 2016 and the future graduating class of 2029 and boogied out of the gym!  Children, family, and friends then enjoyed refreshments and a photo booth.
