Middle School Students Participate in Cross Curricular Project

Seventh grade students in Ms. Post’s classes recently read the book The Color of my Words by Lynn Joseph about a girl growing up  in the Dominican Republic.  Because the book was full of Spanish vocabulary, the students previewed the words in Mrs. Elliott's Spanish class to help their understanding.  This tied in nicely as they learned color words and personality traits in Spanish.  At the end of the unit, students completed a personality project where they chose a color that best fit their behaviors.  They then designed mini-posters including both Spanish and English vocabulary words describing who they are as a person.  Students Ashley Johnson, Ashley Engle, Sierra Smith, Zoe Grenert, Avery Cheyne, Connor Clark, Jesse Watson, and Joseph LeMoine can be seen in the photo holding up their projects.
