FFA Members Advocate at State Capitol

The Mohawk Valley FFA gathered at the State Capitol to spread the word about the importance of Agriculture Education and FFA on February 8 and 9. Aryn Feagles, Jeff Baker, Liam Sammons, and Zach Tinkler attended the conference from the Mohawk Valley FFA and met approximately one hundred other NY FFA members from around the state at the Governmental Awareness Institute. On Monday, the students spent the day touring the Capitol building and learning in leadership workshops to prepare for their meetings on Tuesday. Tuesday morning consisted of meeting with Senator George
Amedore and Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara to thank them for their support of Agriculture Education and FFA in the State of New York. After our meetings, members attended the Senate Session where a resolution was adopted for FFA week.
