New York State FFA Secretary and District V President Visit Mohawk Valley FFA

On Thursday, January 29, 2015, the Mohawk Valley FFA hosted two NYS FFA Officers for a Chapter Visit. Maria Martinez, NYS FFA Secretary, and William Terrell, NYS FFA District V President, have spent this week networking with the members of our FFA district, and delivering a message about communication. Kait Isaac, NYS FFA Reporter, Mohawk Valley FFA member, and OESJ High School Senior, also helped facilitate the workshop on communication. During the workshop, students reflected on communication skills and how they affect individuals. The workshop focused on how important it was to remember names and helped students by giving them strategies to learn the names of new people they meet. After implementing the workshop, the visiting officers toured the OESJ Ag and Tech Lab, where they were impressed with the variety of things happening in the program. The Mohawk Valley FFA would like to thank Maria and William for taking time out of their week to come and spend time with the Mohawk Valley FFA.
