This spring at D.H. Robbins elementary school students took part in working towards awards for fitness during their Physical Education classes. Forty five students achieved either the National award or the Presidential award. To achieve the National Physical Fitness award students needed to achieve at least the 50 percentile in all five events. To achieve the Presidential Physical Fitness award, students needed to achieve at least the 85th percentile in all five events. The events the students took part in were the curl-ups, shuttle run, V-sit reach, push-ups, and the mile run. This is a great accomplishment by all that participated and achieved one of the levels. Great job to everyone!
