Mohawk Valley FFA Leadership Training

POSTED 12/11/2013
Mohawk Valley FFA officers attend leadership training
Four officers from the Mohawk Valley FFA Chapter recently attended a leadership training at Cornell University.

In addition to a Saturday's worth of leadership training opportunities, the students also got the rare chance to view an original manuscript copy of the Gettysburg Address in Lincoln's handwriting.

Attending the training were FFA Secretary Liam Sammons, Reporter Donna Boyer, Sentinel Kait Isaac and Vice-President Robbie Christman.

Cornell's manuscript of the Gettysburg Address is one of only five copies in the handwriting of Lincoln. The manuscript will be on display at Cornell until Dec. 20. Visit the Cornell University Library Web page to learn more about the rare document.
